In this module the pupils will be involved in activities to investigate basic principles behind electricity.

In this topic we will answer questions
like:-
What is electricity?          
What makes electricity flow?                          
What are the units used in electricity?             
What are conductors and insulators?
What are series and parallel circuits?
What is needed to make a motor work?
What precautions need to be taken
to remain safe?

 

 
We will carry out activities:-
 
Pupils will investigate Electric Circuits and Static Electricity.

 

Using the Science Matters Circuit Board pupils will:
 
Discover the differences between series and parallel
circuits.
Use the circuit board to investigate conductors and insulators.
 
By assembling a simple motor pupils will discover how electricity is used to produce motion.
This simple piece of science is sure to impress.

The topic concludes with making the pupil aware of the dangers of electricity and the precautions we need to take
